The monumental stairway
Large footpath, approximately 7 meters wide and 75.5 meters length comprising of 62 steps. Naga platform Constructed of plain stones, 7 meters wide and 31.8 meters long. Nagas on the sides are facing north. Gopura of the first level A cross shape structure without wall, but with steep stairs and doors. A stairway to the east was damaged. First pillared causeway Sandstone pavement, 11.1 meters wide and 275 meters long. Large reservoir A pool 16.8 meters wide and 37.8 meters length to store water. Gopura of the second level A cross shape structure with a wall on the south. Gopura of the third level Largest and the most complete section of the ruins. Palaces or Prasarts are also found. Gopura of the fourth level Many parts have been damaged due to the age and land subsiding. |
